About a month ago, I ran across an article that listed some words that were untranslatable in English, or what I call “Vibes & Moments”.
The interesting part of these beautiful and insightful words is that they show culture’s emotional vocabulary. They provide a window into how its people see the world, things that they value, or their traditions, or their aesthetic ideals, or their ways of constructing happiness, or the things that they recognize as being important and worth noting.
I found them so interesting and had a quick vision of them on tee shirts. So I did a bunch of research and some designing and created statement tees and accessories using some of these amazing words. I thought it was a great fit for our magazines since we will be expanding our “Personal Success” area to include travel & wellness. I thought it would be fun to have a “word of the week” on the blog to dive deeper into the words meanings and the cultures that created them.
The first “word of the week” is Resfeber. Resfeber is a Swedish word that means – the restless race of the traveler’s heart before the journey begins when anxiety and anticipation are tangled together.
I love this word since we all hopefully know what is like to be anxious before an unknown journey whether an actual trip or a life journey. I think it’s so cool that the Swedish have created a word that so many of us feel, but may not have acknowledged.

We would love to hear your feedback, Cheers! Kim
